Returning to the Grand Théâtre, Israel Galván continues to make a mark with his passion for merging flamenco and contemporary dance. In La Fiesta, Galván acknowledges that no one exists in isolation. Dancers’ movements may vary, but ultimately they come together to create a whole performance; they exist alone, but together there are endless possibilities. The same treatment is given to the fiesta of Spanish culture, the understanding that it is the fusion of individual elements.
A great flamenco dancer with modern ideas. The performance was less interesting.
