Hedda veut croire à la possibilité d’une vie libre, à l’existence d’un acte
fulgurant de beauté. Et sinon dans la vie, elle veut l’accomplir dans la mort.
Mais Ibsen ne le lui accorde pas.
I am not a fun of bringing on stage the original texts of plays of the beginning of the 20th century. There must be a way of getting the essential, not a three-hour plays (especially wearing a mask).
Nevertheless, this was a good effort towards a contemporary approach by a excellent cast.
Very well prepared programme!
