Les Rencontres d'Arles 2016
The festival consisted of about 50 amazing exhibitions that took place in churches and historic buildings in the center of Arles, and old industrial sites and warehouses close to the city's train station. This year rencontres expanded to Marseille (A. Seiland) and Avignon (A. Serano). Unfortunately, I arrived late. In September some exhibitions are already closed. The ones I liked most were the following:
I also liked the exhibition sites. In many cases, walls, roofs and floors of old buildings were deliberately left without any visible restauration. See my iphone photos below.

It has been a wonderful long week, not only because of the photography festival and the unique deep blue sky of Lançon de Provence. It was my beloved cousin Dimitri, and his wonderful family, that made my stay unforgettable.
